MIKANO WHEN IT RAINS GLITTER PART. 2

Remember on Monday when we featured Mikano’s video for ‘When It Rains Glitter’? Well, here’s the second part to those dreamy visuals, which follow similar aesthetic lines. Unlike the consistent daylight on the first part, these frames are much darker, set at twilight or night. Acting as the antithesis to part one, the first scene sets the tone with the subtitled words “growing up can be scary”. From here, director Lokmane leads us towards a bleak dystopian future, paradoxically soaked in neon colour. As in both videos, the French-Cameroonian artist Mikano portrays a captivating performance as you can see below. - Hannah Thacker
